When Things Fall Apart

Things fall apart. No matter how hard we try, not everything goes the way we hoped and planned. Even when we know that disaster is looming, we cannot always prevent it. People disappoint us and do things that we do not like. We may be comfortable, feel safe and secure in the day to day ups and downs that come our way and still a surprising and unexpected event can occur and turn everything upside down. Sometimes it is not a personal problem or issue of our own that causes us distress. A friend, partner, family member, co-worker, neighbor or your community or nation, confronts a misfortunate or challenge. Yet, we find ourselves as stressed and worried as if this problem was our own. Not being able to control or effectively change a situation for another can generate feelings of powerless.

Try not to blame yourself or others or become bitter when things fall apart. This is a part of life that we will never escape. No matter what you do, how safe you play it and how intelligent and competent you are, you will at one time or another experience unexpected change. Problems get solved, but only temporarily. Other or similar ones will crop up.

When misfortune knocks on our door and rattles us to the core, there may be little left of the life that we have known. Loss of a job, a devastating health condition, divorce, financial bankruptcy or the death of a loved one, not only changes our circumstances, they can also change the way we perceive ourselves. If we recoil in fear, we feel defensive and at the mercy of a cruel fate. However, if we make space in our lives to accommodate the inevitable, we can gain a sense of mastery and strength from our challenges.

When change comes your way, you can close down in fear or you can feel the depths of your emotions and allow them to soften you. Your safety and serenity does not come about by avoiding and controlling the flow of life. Instead, you can discover calmness in the midst of the storm by accepting what is happening and embracing your feelings.

Be in present time. When you find yourself, stressing and troubled by problems and challenges, breathe and acknowledge the good that is present and be open to perceiving what is happening with a new awareness and perspective. Don’t let your concerns for the future and pain from the past, cause you to imagine the worst. Take it one step at a time, being ever mindful that challenges call forward hidden, but potent aspects of your authentic self. Even though problems may initially seem overwhelming, you can discover a strength and compassion that you did not know you had. Distressing turn of events are often a calling card from your authentic self letting you know that you are capable of so much more than you may think.

Leaving Home

When my intuition, that little voice that doesn't listen to the nonsense of my mind and fears, speaks to me I try and listen. I can no longer hide from its voice and pretend that I have a better plan. I cannot disregard the deeper knowing of my soul. If only it didn't guide me into my fears and the kind of growth that I don't always feel ready for.

Guided by my intuition, I have left my comfy home that I have lived in for over thirty years. The place where I raised my children and became the me, that I am. I worked in my home, wrote my books, nurtured others and my self. The first day I walked in the house many years ago, I felt a grandmotherly presence who let me know that this was home, my safe shelter. I knew it and felt it.  The house itself was literally falling apart. The roof was so bad you could see the sky. The house did not have any heat or air conditioning and the one bathroom was mostly rotting wood. My husband and I had little money so we did most of the repair and renovation work ourselves. Later when more money came in, we hired others and built an addition. My husband left me and the house over sixteen years ago. I stayed safe in her walls and continued on.

A few years ago, I felt the house telling me that it was getting time to go. The kids had long gone and I was there alone. It started to feel big and empty and I knew that she (the house), was done with me. I feel a pull to stay, but like any nest we eventually outgrow it and as wonderful as it is, we have to go. Intuitively, I knew it was time, my heart and soul told me so. But my mind, my human self, wanted to hold on tight and continue to live and work in this nurturing space. 

But I know better. Intuition is my life and I have learned to truly listen. I left the house about a week ago and moved to a lovely home across from a lake. I don't know what life now holds for me. Everything has changed. I know it is useless to worry about the future and what is to come. There is a plan, of this I am sure. However not all the plans for my life have been easy and without challenge. I have my fingers crossed that I can go forward in kindness and gentleness.

I so much want the house that I have left, to be a blessing for someone else. As I go through the process of selling her. I want to let others know that she has a beautiful heart and soul. The layout might be lousy and there is still much work to be done, but she is kind and will take care of whoever makes their home here. 

To those of you who came to my home for readings and sessions, my new door is open to you. I am a few miles south, yet you can enjoy the quiet and the lake and maybe discover something new yourself.

To know and express our authentic self, it is necessary to take off the false masks. To survive a difficult childhood, fit in with our peers, hide our emotional wounds and vulnerabilities or to be part of a group, we often become who and what others want us to be. Over time, we may begin to identify with these false masks, and we forget who we are. Eventually, these masks can feel more like a prison, than a coping strategy. I remember reading on your FB page shortly after the Boeing 777 crashed into the Indian Ocean in March 2014 that you felt the pilot had deliberately crashed the plane. I was intrigued by your theory at the time and a year later, in 2015, officials was declared the crash to be “an accident”

However, recent reports now say there is credible and sufficient evidence that the pilot, or someone, had deliberately crashed the plane, as you had claimed a year earlier:

Intuition and the Authentic Self

Do you ever deny and hide your true feelings and thoughts from others? Maybe you want to fit in, make friends and be accepted and being who and what other’s expect you to be seems more important than being yourself. Have you ever said, yes to someone or something, when you really wanted to say, no? Do you ever feel odd or different when you do not share the same perspective, judgments and beliefs of your family, friends or social group? Do you go along with popular opinion, despite thinking and feeling differently?Sometimes it is obvious when we compromise our true thoughts and feelings. At other times, it is more subtle and barely noticeable. We may find ourselves going along with others desires and wishes and hide aspects of our truth when it would be just as easy to be honest and share who we are. Over-compromising and denying the authentic self, is often rooted in emotional and intuitive sensitivity. If you are innately intuitive, you may at times, feel and absorb the feelings and thoughts of others and confuse them with your own. Or, you may not trust what you think or feel and easily adapt to others expectations. These kind of behaviors often begin in childhood and can unknowingly follow you through life. Children that are emotionally and intuitively sensitive, can have had a hard time differentiating their feelings and thoughts from those of their mother, father and siblings. Although this might sound far-fetched, imagine this common scenario in the life of an intuitive child. You are sitting playing a game and all of a sudden you feel a wave of sadness come over you. You look up at your mom and she does not look sad. You might even ask her, if she is sad. Instead of confirming that this is true. You mom, in an attempt to hide her feelings and not upset you, says that she is happy and not sad. Here is another common situation. Your father comes home from work late. As he comes in the door he tells your mom that he was hung up at work. But, this doesn't feel right to you. You look at him and know that he was not at work. Yet, everyone accepts his reason for being late and you begin to wonder what is wrong with you. Why would you not believe him? Overtime you continue to feel feelings and know things that are met with denial and suspicion. You begin to disregard and distrust these thoughts and feelings and go along with what others think and feel. If you were an emotionally and intuitively sensitive child you may have instinctively and unconsciously tried to disregard and ignore your sensitivities and intuitive awareness. Done continually, this eventually silences the voice of the inner true self and your truth becomes more distant and silent. You may lose your conscious connection to your authentic self and unknowingly take on the feelings, thoughts and expectations of others and the norms of your environment. As you got older you may have continued to unknowingly repress your truth and take on others thoughts and feelings. Compromising and denying yourself in order to be safe, liked and accepted by others never satisfies. It robs you of energy, confidence and healthy self-esteem. You may be more susceptible to addictions and other unhealthy behaviors. There can be no authentic joy, when you are not free. Yet, your truth can never leave you. You can begin to reclaim your authentic self and your intuition and sensitivities can help you to do this. Start in small ways. Listen within to your thoughts and feelings and accept them. Love and encourage yourself and accept all of who you are. Even the parts of yourself that are confused and afraid to surface. Become aware of when you repress and deny your authentic self. Pay attention to the unsettled or heavy feeling in your gut that lets you know when you go against what is right for you. Listen within to the still small voice of your intuition. Begin a daily habit of trusting your intuitive impressions and insights and acting on what feels right for you. Say, no when you mean no and yes when you mean yes. Some people may judge you, others may argue against what you believe, but there will be others who continue to love and care about you. However, no matter what others think or feel about you, how you feel about yourself is all that matters. It can at times be intimidating to reveal and express your authentic self. Yet, it is the only way to live in joy and inner peace. Take back your power to be you.

Discover Your Authentic Self: Be You, Be Free, Be Happy

images      From a young age, I felt different. My tendency to know what others didn't know, to see spirit beings and to feel others feelings, seemed to set me apart. As I got older I further explored and developed my psychic and medium abilities and better understood why I felt different. Still for years, I felt an uncomfortable chasm between myself and others that I did not want to exist. I know that this is true for many others.

If you have an interest in areas such as, spirituality and psychic and intuitive awareness, an innate understanding of energy and healing energy, have an interest in angels, spirit beings, life after death or consider yourself intuitively or emotionally sensitive, you may have felt this same way. Powerful Weather, Powerful Energy, Meditation

Five Questions to Ask Your Body

imagesTrue health is more than a lack of disease or pain. Emotional, mental and spiritual well-being all contribute to our overall experience of good health and positive satisfaction with ourselves and life. The new and evolving heath paradigm includes empowered self-awareness and a taking back of our power to actively participate in creating optimum mind, body and spirit wellness.

Your body is always communicating to you and it is ready to revel both the positive and negative influences that are impacting your health. Yet, it’s messages often bypass logic and reasoning and are more intuitive in nature. For instance, pain or physical discomfort can be a type of intuitive message alerting you that something needs attention. Feelings of inner peace and harmony are also messages, informing you of a positive state of health. Your body communicates to you through your emotions, thoughts, sensations, images, vibration, messages, synchronisities  and dreams. With a little help and practice you can learn how to better tune into the messages being sent your way and work in unison with your body’s intelligence.

The Conversation

Although listening to your body is easy and natural, we do not always know how to get the conversation started.

To begin, it is important to relax and slip into a receptive and attentive state. Get comfortable and close your eyes. Breathe a few deep relaxing breaths. Scan your body starting at the top of your head. Move your awareness down through your body and become aware of any place that is sore or tense or tight.

Once you become aware of an area of soreness, tension or tightness, ask these five questions to begin the dialogue.

If this area had a voice what would it be saying?

What is the emotional energy of this area?

What is the mental thought energy or beliefs and attitudes associated with this area?

What message does my spirit have for me concerning this area?

What do I need to heal?

Ask yourself one question at a time then, pause and listen within. If your mind begins to wander or you start overthinking instead of listening, go back to the breath and repeat the question.

What to Expect

Trust your initial impressions. Give yourself time to correctly interpret and understand everything that you receive. Some messages will make sense immediately, the meaning of others may unfold over time. It is enough to begin a conversation. Simply communicating with your body, caring for yourself and listening, activates healing.

Intuited Thoughts

Intuitive thoughts are persistent and repetitive. They will not always jump out at you or initially seem important. You may hear words, phrases, sentences or intuit a complete knowing and understanding in a particular area of your health.

It is likely, you will also experience a fair amount of mind chatter. This is normal. In the midst of random thoughts, your body will still communicate with you.

Intuited Feelings

In response to your questions your body my release suppressed emotions. You may feel a knot of emotional energy letting go and not understand its origin or importance. Quite often just feeling the emotions and feelings that surface is enough, as this is all it takes to release them. Feel all of your emotions as they surface, without suppressing or trying to understand them.

Intuited Body Sensations

Your body may communicate to your through a variety of sensations. You may feel an increase in energy like an accelerated vibration moving through you. Certain areas of your body may feel more dense or tight. You may intuit information through your solar plexus as a gut knowing. Messages may come in the form of inspiration or the motivation to get out and take a walk or move your body through dance or another enjoyable activity.

Intuited Images

Your body may communicate to you through images that are symbolic, figurative, cartoon like or realistic looking and three dimensional. Your intuition and imagination work together to empower you to better understand what your body is communicating. Images can be seen with inner sight, felt or sometimes we just know what they look like without clearly seeing them. Allow the images to change, morph into new forms and communicate with you. If you do not understand a particular image, ask to see it in a new way.

Different Forms of Guidance

Some of the messages you receive may not necessarily seem to be related to your health. You might receive a suggestion to avoid certain stressful situations, seek more solitude and pursue a new occupation. You may suddenly feel the need to free yourself from a limiting relationship, speak your truth and heal emotional wounds or practice forgiveness and compassion. Although these issues may not seem to directly impact your health, they are. The root of good health is in your ability to stay in alignment with your true essence. When you are not in the flow of the power of your spirit, your health will eventually suffer in some way.

Continue to ask yourself questions and intuitively listen within. Once you have begun to communicate with your body, it will continue to send you messages. Messages may surface through your dreams or through your feelings, thoughts and an inner sense of knowing. Keep a journal document your health dreams and other intuitive information that spontaneously surfaces.

Seek help from other resources if needed.

If you encounter a physical issue or other information that concerns you, consult with a physician or medical professional. Use what your body has communicated to you to better equip you in getting additional help and support. If you become aware of suppressed memories, old traumas or if difficult emotions or memories surface, consult a therapist or healer. Do not try to do everything yourself. Allow others to help and assist you in further healing.
