Whether you want to deepen your spirituality, broaden your intuitive skills, nurture your whole being, mind-body and
spirit, this retreat promises to be pleasurable, fun and life enhancing. Together, we create a safe and supportive family
of new friends.
Experience with Meditation and Intuition is not necessary, and if you have taken classes with me or others before, this
retreat will help you deepen your spiritual-intuitive practice. The intuitive-spiritual material presented will be based on the
experience level of the retreat participants.
About the Resort: Pura Vida Wellness Retreat & Spa
Pura Vida, meaning ¨pure life¨, is located on a private mountaintop estate in Costa Rica's Alajuela province, a short drive
from the international airport in San Jose, and is surrounded by coffee plantations and lush foliage. The whole estate
commands fantastic views of Irazú, Barva, and Poás volcanoes and of the central valley with the capital, San José.

Walk amidst enchanted gardens of heliconias and orchids. Become romanced by the fountains, pools, fruit and
ornamental trees, colorful birds, and gentle butterflies. In this ¨Garden of Eden¨ the year round temperature is 70 to 80
degrees during the day with mild nights. Renew your deepest connections with life as you step into an oasis of beauty
and tranquility! There are plenty of tranquil spots with hammocks, benches and grassy areas for meditation, reading or
just hanging out.
Facilities include a pool, hot tub with a view of the city lights in the valley below, a boutique, and a bar offering a
selection of soft drinks and alcoholic beverages, and a cappuccino bar where you can enjoy cappuccinos, espressos and
fruit smoothies. There is also a lovely wellness center.
Accommodation
The resort offers a variety of accommodation options. There are tentalows, deluxe rooms and the spacious super deluxe
rooms. Each room has spectacular views with either two twin beds or one king bed. Read more here.
Cuisine
Pura Vida is famous for its great buffet cuisine. Both vegetarian and those who enjoy fish or chicken, appreciate its
delicious healthy cuisine. Inspired by many international chefs, expect to be served a wide variety of freshly prepared
delicious recipes with exotic ingredients from the tropics and home made chutneys, freshly baked cookies, granolas and
other surprises. The best Costa Rican coffee and exotic tropical fruits are available in the restaurant all day long, and the
'Buena Vista' cappuccino and smoothie bar offers the best coffee drinks and fruit smoothies for a small charge. There is
also a bar that serves alcoholic beverages. Special dietary needs will be accommodated 100%.

Costs: $1,160 per person includes:
•        5 nights accommodation at the resort (Aug. 14 to Aug. 19) in a Tentalow (see other lodging options - deluxe,
super deluxe - below) based on double occupancy.
•        Spiritual-Intuition Exploration Workshop, morning and afternoon sessions
•        Daily yoga
•        3 delicious meals per day (vegetarian, seafood or meat options) from dinner on Sat 8/14/2010 to breakfast on
Thursday 8/19/10
•        Transfer from and to the international airport at San Jose, Costa Rica

International flights and incidentals are not included. Space in this retreat is limited. Register early to avoid disappointment!
Deposit & Payment: The deposit of $500 per person reserves your place. The balance is due 6 weeks before the
retreat, on June 2nd, 2010 Your reservation will be confirmed in writing by e-mail (or letter if you don't have e-mail).

Refund/Cancellation Policy & Travel Insurance:
Life is unpredictable, and to secure your investment in this
vacation, please purchase travel insurance when you register to cover your expenses for airline tickets, the retreat etc in
case you do need to cancel. We usually use
TravelGurador INSureMyTrip and the cost is around $75 per person. The
deposit is refundable only in extenuating circumstances, in which case an administration fee of $150 per person applies.
Because of the resort's cancellation policy we cannot give refunds after June 2nd,, 2010.

Lodging Options: There are many types of lodging at the resort each with either two twin beds or one king bed. The
cost below is based on double occupancy and includes everything except your international flight.

Tentalow: The Tentalows combine the adventure and feel of the outdoors with the amenities of a room. These
12' x 12' x 12' luxury tents have carpeted floors, very comfortable beds (the same as in the other accommodations),
electricity, space for your clothes and plenty of fresh mountain air. Shared, attractive bathrooms are set in lush gardens
nearby. ($1,160 per person double, 1,300.00 single)
•      
  Standard: The standard rooms are comfortable, colorful and cozy, surrounded by lush gardesn.  They come
equipped with coffee makers and the shared bathroom s are only a few seconds away. This room can have either 1 King
or 2 Twins (1,210.00 double, 1,400.00 single)
•     
   Deluxe: The deluxe accommodations are the A-Frame bungalows and Vista apartments. They each have a
private balcony with stunning views, their own baths, balcony and coffee maker. ($1310.00 double, 1,690.00 single)
•       
 Super Deluxe: The super deluxe rooms are the Kivas and Tri-levels. These accommodations have plenty of
space and comfort, offering a living area, private bath, balcony, and a coffee bar. (1,380.00 double- 1,690.00 single)

  • Pagoda: n a class of its own -- The Pagoda is your own private "home" with sunken living room, wonderful
    views, king-size bed, Jacuzzi bathtub, mini-fridge, outdoor deck, and even a private enclosed "Bali style" outdoor
    shower. It is very popular with honeymooners. Unique and luxurious, the Pagoda is an experience in itself,
    offering memories that will last long after you've departed. (double 1,600.00 single 2130.00
  • Suites:
Zendo - A wraparound balcony and huge picture windows allow magnificent views all the time. It comes equipped with a
king-size bed and coffee maker. In addition to all this, the Zendo has an outdoor shower which makes it a most special
place to stay.
Master Suite - Wake up in a king-size bed with an incredible vista and luxuriate in your own Jacuzzi hot tub. The Master
Suite also features a coffee maker, walk-in closet, balcony and a living area.
Lila Suite - A gorgeous suite with a huge private balcony, vaulted ceilings, coffee maker and a king-size bed.

Attending as a single? If you are attending as a single, you will share your lodging with another single of the same
gender. Single occupancy is also available.

Flight & Travel Information: The resort is located a 20-minute drive from the international airport in San Jose,
Costa Rica. Upon arrival you will be met at the airport by our driver and taken to the resort.
Logistics: Please arrive in San Jose, Costa Rica during the day on Aug. 14 2010. Unless you are staying extra time after
the retreat, please book your flights to leave on Thursday, Aug. 19,  2010.
Our first session begins after dinner on Saturday, Sept. 18th, and our closing circle is held on Wed, Sept. 22nd, 2010.
Generally, we have two intuiton/meditation sessions per day, except for excursion day. There is plenty of time for you to
relax and enjoy your magical surrounds and spend quality time with your partner or others in the group.

White Water Rafting: Full Day Adventure
The Pacuare river cuts through one of the most pristine pockets of wilderness left on the planet, is ranked among the top
5 on the list of wild and scenic rivers worldwide. This 18-mile rafting adventure, through the most beautiful river canyon in
the tropics, is for the adventuresome beginner and the experienced rafter alike. The rapids are class 3 and 4. Breakfast
and lunch included.
OR
At Day At The Beach* -- Full-day excursion. A private club on the Pacific side that offers two beaches, swimming
pools and hikes through the coastal rain forest. Buffet lunch included.
OR
Wildlife Boat Tour* -- Full-day excursion. A naturalist guide takes you on a leisurely hike through the Carara
Biological Reserve rain forest, then on a relaxing boat tour down the free-flowing waters of the Tarcoles River. You can
see crocodiles, cayman, sloths, monkeys, bats, iguanas and other reptiles, and numerous species of exotic lowland
tropical birds. Lunch is included.
Waterfall Gardens -- Half-day excursion. A beautiful hike along the La Paz river where a series of five waterfalls
cascade through the cloud forest. You will also see the largest butterfly enclosure in the world, as well as a hummingbird
garden where more than a dozen species fly and flitter within arm's reach.

Poas Volcano -- Half-day excursion. Walk through the cloud forest at the top of this semi-active volcano where you
can peer into the crater itself with its iridescent blue water and fumaroles.

Canopy Adventure -- A half-day tour where you are hitched into a harness and fly from tree platform to tree
platform on the flanks of Barva Volcano. An exhilarating experience.
